HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHY

Models, actors, real estate agents, business people, high school seniors, musicians, to name a few, all need head shots from time-to-time. The photographer's job is to create an image that will meet the needs of their client - while making them look good!  But looking good in a photograph is not only the photographer's responsibility. The client needs to help things along.  Here's some of the things to do to make sure your head shot session  is a success:

  • During the week leading up to the shoot drink a lot of water . Your skin and body will look very good.
  • Get plenty of rest the night before your session.  No partying, no drinking, etc.  Hangovers and baggy eyes will not look good!
  • Men shouldn't get a haircut less than a week before the shoot. Likewise, women shouldn't get a facial during that week either.
  • Sunglasses shouldn't be worn during the half-hour before photography.  You'll have marks on your nose if you do.
  • Don't skip breakfast, or lunch. You'll look better if you're not hungry.
  • Take appropriate wardrobe items that reflect the image you're trying to achieve.

The photo shoot should be fun.  A pre-shoot consultation with the photographer will help you to be prepared, relaxed and ready for the fun to take place.

Send an email to: Eric Franks Photo if you'd like more information or to book a photography session.
